QUICK TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL ONLINE VIDEO STRATEGY
- If you want a video to go viral, it must be on YouTube. More and more, video content is being searched online. Most of it is being done in YouTube.
- Keep your videos short. As much as everyone wants to see video online, keep it VERY short. Under a minute is great and less than 2 minutes is essential. It would be better to have several short videos than one really long one.
- Optimize your video for search. We get paid to do this, so I can’t give you all our tips and tricks. Hire us!
- Skin your own video player for a collection of all your videos on your website. A little branding goes a long way.
- Think strategically about all your video resources. Make a list of all that are available, match them up with pages of relevant content, and then make clickable screen shots for each one.
- Place individual video links on relevant pages of content throughout your website. If I’m reading a page of content on your site, be sure there is a clickable screen shot so I can see the video to which it relates.
