PHP Programmer I
The PHP Programmer I uses design layouts and code libraries, implements Web applications, encodes, tests, debugs, documents programs on website design projects, and provides basic design and framework for complex projects, primarily within the Joomla! framework.
Responsibilities:
- Code with PHP and MySQL primarily for Joomla! website projects and Facebook applications
- Provide excellent visual and functional design of websites and Web applications
- Meet client needs and expectations on deadline
- Understand and/or help establish the requirements and approach to Web projects
- Develop HTML and CSS websites
- Some asp.NET work, if possible
Recommended Experience:
- Strong JavaScript, PHP and MySQL required
- Strong HTML and CSS coding skills required
- Experience working with CMS systems (Joomla! preferred, Drupal, Sitefinity, Wordpress)
- A degree or certification from a recognized IT and/or Web development curriculum or equivalent experience
- Portfolio of quality website development projects
- Good understanding of best practices related to Web usability, and Web user experience
- Experience planning information architecture, navigation and interactivity
- Familiarity with usability issues and informal testing
- Well organized and attentive to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to work with project managers, graphic designers, server operators and programmers in a collaborative spirit
- Creative thinking and exploration experience
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Comfortable using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are a plus
- Knowledge of asp.NET, SQL and C# are a plus
